A desk that goes beyond function, becoming a true sculpture, a privileged object, and a strong physical presence. It is Euclideo, designed by Ferruccio Laviani: an evolution of the executive system toward a contemporary idea of furniture, less tied to the traditional iconography of this functional typology. “It is the combination of two volumes that gives life, on one hand, to the work surface in contrast to the cabinet, which acts as a container. Faceted solids interpenetrate, defining volumes and spaces which in turn delimit functions,” explains architect Ferruccio Laviani. Furthermore, the finishes of Euclideo are an integral part of its expressive and stylistic language, further defining the role of each component. The suspended worktop, seemingly defying gravity, contrasts with the solid volume of the sideboard, creating a visual and structural balance. The possibility of choosing from a wide range of wood essences, from exotic to more traditional species, makes this executive desk even more unique and exclusive.
